Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC) doesn’t really means the center of Kuala Lumpur. It’s an idea of building a self-contained, city within a city.

KLCC is an integrated mixed-use development project that cover more than 1.67 million sq. metres (18 million sq. feet) of commercial, retail, hotel, convention, residential and entertainment facilities.

KLCC main attraction is formerly tallest building in the world, the 88-storey Petronas Twin Towers. Inside the Twin Towers located Suria KLCC, an award winning shopping center with international renowned fashion brands and great gourmet restaurants.

KLCC Petronas Twin TowersWithin Suria KLCC there’s worldclass orchestra concert hall, Dewan Filharmonik Petronas; and Petronas Petrosains, a petrol science exhibition center.

Located at the esplanade outside of Suria KLCC, the Lake Symphony is programmed to provide 150 magical and dramatic animations which never failed to catch travellers’ attention.

Another attraction of Petronas Twin Towers is the Skybridge between the two towers on 41st and 42nd floors, which provides some nice views on KL city area.

Nearby the Petronas Towers is Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, which occassionally held some interesting exhibitions that mainly cater for local interest rather than as tourist attraction.

Located inside Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is Aquaria KLCC, which consist of an aquarium with a 90m long underwater tunnel, a gigantic Arapamia, touch pool encounter along with the death-defying shark feedings at the Aqua Theatre.

Other major buildings in KLCC area include Menara Maxis and Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Embracing all these buildings are KLCC Park, a 20-hectare tropical landscaping intending to provide some greens in KLCC. Nothing special about the park, but it’s a favorite spot for family weekend outings and for love birds.

Getting to KLCC is pretty easy, it’s accessible with Putra LRT (transit) and all Kuala Lumpur taxi drivers should know how to bring you there.
